Holy crap, where has Matthew Good been all my life?!? Take away my honorary Canadian citizenship. I really need to go to bed, but I can't stop listening to these two songs!
As a bonus, I've included the recent Ron Sexsmith/Elvis Costello duet from Costello's Spectacle show. (Sheryl Crow, the heck?)

Found your blog when searching for Matt Good lyrics and just wanted to say "Neener, neener, neener - I'm going to see him in a couple of weeks"(April 4) :-p
If you like the stuff from "Vancouver", DEFINITELY check out "Hospital Music". I was introduced to Matt via the iTunes Single of the Week - "Born Losers". I initially didn't hate it, so I downloaded it - it was free. After a few listens, it began to grow on me. After a few more, I was HOOKED. I went out and found the album.
My first reaction was " Wow, this sucks. How can a guy who does a song like Born Losers do stuff like this?" Boy was I wrong. After a bit, it began to seep in, and after I read about what he went through before writing that - nasty divorce, a breakdown, being diagnosed as bipolar - and it's all there on the record.
Powerful stuff.
