2 Comments:
I just took a quick look-see at the nomination list, and I gotta say, your picks are pretty solid. With just a couple of misses here and there.
I haven't seen any the films nominated for best picture... but the titles themselves really annoy me for some reason. I mean, what the fuck is "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire? I understand the 'precious' part, but what the hell all that other nonsense? ;)
Oh, and don't get me started with Inglourious Basterds and The Hurt Locker.
How did you know District 9 was going to get nominated?
It's looks like Helen Mirren nabbed Emily Blunt's spot. Old hag. ;)
Go Vera Farmiga! Alternate: Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Actually, I've had this weird hankering to see A Single Man for past couple of weeks... so, I might be rooting for Julianne Moore by the time the show airs. (My desire to watch new movies has totally dissipated.)
Oops. Julianne Moore didn't get nominated. I assumed she did. :(
